Kvartett ist ein sehr interessanter Elite-Fünfganghengst mit einer beeindruckenden Abstammung und sehr gleichmäßigen Noten in der Zuchtprüfung. Er erhielt er die Note 8,5 für Tölt, Trab, Schritt, Pass, Charakter und Form. Seine Abstammung bedarf kaum genauerer Beschreibung. Sein Vater Gaumur ist Ehrenpreisträger für Nachkommen, die auf Turnieren und Zuchtprüfungen zahlreich erfolgreich vertreten sind. Seine Mutter Staka frá Litlu-Sandvík ist islandweit ebenfalls sehr bekannt. Zu ihren Nachkommen zählt zum Beispiel der hochgeprüfte Tenór frá Túnsbergi (9,15 für Reiteigenschaften). Kvartett verfügt über ausgesprochen guten natürlichen Tölt und viel Vorhandaktion. Was ihn besonders auszeichnet ist sein sanftes Wesen. Im Umgang zeigt Quartett sich stets liebevoll und unkompliziert - so freundlich und ruhig, dass man kaum glauben würde, einen ausgewachsenen Hengst vor sich zu haben.
